Measuring Linkfluence and Visual Social Media Monitoring

I LOVE buzz monitoring tools – though you probably already know that if you’ve read my posts on:

  1. Social Media Share of Voice – Converse, Adidas, New Balance, Nike and Under Armour
  2. Buzz Monitoring and Sentiment Analysis for Disney
  3. Sentiment Analysis of Obama’s First 100 Days – 52% Positive
  4. SXSW Recap Post: Positive Vs. Negative Sentiment
  5. Buzz Monitoring: Google vs. Microsoft Sentiment Analysis

Going beyond buzz monitoring is really important. Sentiment analysis is certainly one of the ways to take social media monitoring a setup further, but influencer identification is really what marketers are aiming for when they put tools like ScoutLabs and Radia6 to the test.

One tool that is not well know in the US (because it’s a French technology with a limited private beta) is Linkfluence and I think it’s a really unique technology for use in social media marketing campaigns. If you want to take it for a test drive, leave a comment on this post and i’ll see what I can do. Here’s a video walk through of the tool:

    Hi Peter,

We definitely love your enthusiasm for this space, and for the importance of solid social media monitoring. Influencer identification is indeed one aspect of what our clients are looking for, and the beautiful thing is that the wealth of data available enables companies to decide their own criteria for influence, based on their business goals.

Thanks for being such an advocate for the importance of listening when it comes to social media work.

    Cheers,

Wow, right up my alley. I love this stuff. I’ve seen similar capabilities in Sysomos and others but wonder what is different, how this works…would love to try it if there was a way!

    Peter,

Thanks for sharing this. Would love to take it for a spin. The ability to deep dive into the links and centers of influence, plus the interesting visuals, and how simple it is to use. We use a buzz monitoring service currently, but always looking to add additional layers to the reporting and gain even more insight for our outreach online.

    Thanks,

    Mike

We’re currently using other KPIs to measure the success of social networking campaigns, but seek to develop an informed PoV on tools that monitor online PR and brand conversations. We believe these tools are very important and therefore if we can test drive Linkfluence – would be much appreciated.

    Many thanks,

    Rachel

    Peter-

This looks like a very powerful Social Monitoring software offering. We would love to give it a test drive to see how it stacks up with the competition.

    Thanks in advance,

Going kind of far back here, but if the offer still stands for trying to set up a Linkfluence, I’d be very interested. Thanks!
