A few weeks ago, we launched our first startupXLR8R where 100 startups applied, and 22 teams were invited to participate in coding for a weekend then pitching to 10 angels/VCs. Four of the teams, Venga, BeCouply, Tixelated, and iSpeedShop were subsequently written up in the Washington Post:

What’s next?
On March 26th, we’ll launch the angelXLR8R to spur the capital region’s angels to better connect with the growing crop of tech startups.
On June 4th-5th, startupXLR8R II will pick up where we left off and showcase new startups, build and refine new technology, and integrate a more cohesive voice of our region’s investors.
DC Tech Meetup continues to roll, with an anticipated 500 attendees at the next meetup.
And of course, DCWEEK looms in the distance with 3,500 attendees RSVP’d and 10,000 expected in November.
