Peter Corbett

Peter Corbett is the founder and CEO of iStrategyLabs – and has won multiple industry awards, including 3 Addys in 2008, the Great Washington DC Board of Trade’s “One To Watch” award for being “A rising entrepreneur who has a bright and sustainable future in Greater Washington”, and has been named one of the most influential Washingtonians under 40 by WashingtonLife Magazine.  Washingtonian Magazine included him in their Tech Titan list of the top 100 people shaping technology innovation in the greater capital area. In Government 2.0 circles, Peter is widely known for co-creating Apps for Democracy with Vivek Kundra and DC’s Office of the CTO, as well his co-founding of Government 2.0 Club, Government 2.0 Camp, and Transparency Camp. His focus on creating – rather than just talking about – smarter, better, faster, and cheaper ways of doing things has inspired similar initiatives around the world like Apps for Democracy Finland/Belgium/Germany/Australia, Apps for America and NYC Big Apps.

Joe Corbett

Joe is the COO of iStrategyLabs, and his focus is on creating perfect digital/physical execution for clients and the lab itself. Being charged with keeping the lab operating efficiently 24/7 demands that Joe knows how to solve problems in 100 different ways, but he prides himself on finding the elegant solution that most satisfies each job. He has been deeply immersed in the web since the age of 10, and started his first tech business at age 16. Joe’s true passion is studying human behavior and technology’s influence on it.

Zach Goodwin

Zach Goodwin is the Creative Director of iStrategyLabs.  From web design and animation, to messaging and copy, Zach takes the lead in shaping much of the creative that comes from the Lab.  With a keen eye for color and a fanatical devotion to typography, Zach cut his teeth while freelancing under the Crafty Mice Design banner.  In total, Zach brings a unique blend of brand and business thinking to his creative work, having spent time in management consulting, film production and PR.  (And if he’s not at the lab, you can likely find him sprinting down the streets of Columbia Heights.

DJ Saul

DJ Saul is an interactive strategist who works to find creative solutions to clients problems – and does it with a heavy focus on ROI. In 2008, he founded and currently chairs Colonial Entrepreneurs, a network of over 50 young Washington DC entrepreneurs.  DJ graduated Magna Cum Laude from GW with a BA in International Affairs, and studied abroad in Beijing, China where he interned for a renewable energy startup.  He also currently serves on the GW Alumni Association Communications Committee, the Luther Rice Society, Ad2DC, and is a member of the Smithsonian Young Benefactors.

Zvi Band

Zvi Band is a seasoned web developer, with a focus on building social applications. Ever since picking up an HTML tutorial in middle school, his passion has been creating newsletters, blogs, websites, and web applications that provide real value to consumers. After initially developing high-availability systems for the U.S. Government, he brings the same focus on function and reliability to the consumer-facing projects he executes on, using the latest technologies. Zvi is also president of skeevisArts, a firm focusing on high end turnkey web design and development. Zvi graduated from the University of Maryland with a BS in Computer Science and Economics, and resides in Bethesda, MD.

Chris Heuer

Chris is an entrepreneur, consultant, speaker, facilitator and deep thinker who’s passionate about helping organizations engage the markets they serve through emerging technology. As a former teacher at Miami Ad School, former Chief of eBusiness for the United States Mint, and as founder/chairman of Social Media Club, he’s proven time and time again that fresh ideas can transform organizations and the world.

Chris leads iStrategyLabs’ San Francisco office, focusing on providing clients with fresh insights and creative strategies that provide community engagement opportunities online and off. With a diverse skill set that ranges from web development to branding to unconference facilitation to technology architecture to change management, his perspective is an invaluable addition to any project. Sacha Cohen

Sacha is the founder of grassfed media, an integrated communications firm that serves green and socially responsible companies. She has worked with clients including National Geographic, AARP, Planet Green, Americans for the Arts, and the Nature Conservancy on a variety of content and marketing projects. A former journalist, Sacha wrote for The Washington Post, Cosmopolitan, Gourmet, USA Today, UPI, Kiplinger.com, Monster.com, and many other print and online publications. Sacha is also the founder of GoingGreenDC.net, DC’s first and leading green blog.

Carolyn Sewell

Carolyn’s decade of design experience have helped position some of the largest and most respected companies in the country, as well as bring attention and funding to smaller non-profit organizations. As a frequent collaborator of iStrategyLabs’s she focuses on providing clients with excellent visuals that communicate effectively in all media. Her work has been published in HOW Magazine, Creativity, GDUSA and been awarded at the ADDYs, ADCMW Annual Show, LMA Awards and MAME Awards. She is the founder Carolyn Sewell Design and creator of the award-winning blog Pedestrian Typography. She also loves fried chicken and sweet tea. And is charming as hell.

Megan Zatko

Meg Zatko graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Organizational Studies and a concentrated focus on Communications. She went on to receive her Masters degree from Polimoda in Florence, Italy.  A seasoned writer, her experience includes Communications Director for a large trade association, as well as a wide-range of writing/editing and marketing for the nonprofit world and the retail sector.  From online to print, Megan has written it all and enjoyed it the entire time.

Scott McCaughey

Scott is an iStrategyLabs web designer who continues to surprise his colleagues and clients with compelling and clean creative that just plain works. He really understands how to design for the web, and knows how to engage an audience through smart user interface design. When he’s not building web sites, widgets and other fun stuff at iStrategyLabs, he’s following his creative pursuits at his studio ShinyBird.

Kenneth Yeung

From his unique perspective of having worked in both an interactive agency and a client/private sector environment, Kenneth has understands the nature of web development projects and interactive marketing methodologies. He’s a strategic thinker, who not only understands how a pretty digital thing gets built, but he knows exactly the right way to do it.

Alexander Hsiao

Alexander is Founder & Chief Consultant of Perphic. Alexander has proven himself a visionary leader and strategist in the product design space, with extensive experience in interactive advertising, brand management, and interactive design. Before founding Perphic, he was Director at AOL for Audience Product Technologies, providing vision, brand management, and design direction to numerous consumer applications and services. Notable products under his creative direction were AIM, AOL China, AOL Radio & Video, AOL Explorer Browser, AOL 9.0 Optimized, and AOL Communicator. Alexander has also worked on brands such as Gucci, Puma, Ralph Lauren, D&G, Dom Perignon, Apple, Google, Kodak, Discovery, TLC, and Animal Planet. Alexander served on the executive board of AIGA, Washington DC Chapter. He received his BA in Design cum laude from American University and taught computer application, design theory, and advanced multimedia at his alma mater.

Jessie Newburn

Jessie is a thought leader in an area where few give thought: how America’s generations use social media … and why. Pulling from her deep roots in traditional marketing, pr and communications; her broad understanding of new media; and her quirky, but thorough, grasp of generational dynamics, she brings a fresh and refreshingly logical perspective to integrative communications.
