Civic Innovation
When combined with our killer ability to spread memes via word of mouth, what you get are programs that win global accolades. Our civic innovation services are as follows:
Government 2.0
We’ve been a leader in the government 2.0 movement from the beginning. We know all the players, we know all the programs, we’re a part of the glue the binds gov 2.0 communities.
Our CEO, Peter Corbett, is widely known for co-creating Apps for Democracy with Vivek Kundra and DC’s Office of the CTO, as well co-founding of Government 2.0 Club, Government 2.0 Camp, and Transparency Camp. His focus on creating – rather than just talking about – smarter, better, faster, and cheaper ways of doing things has inspired initiatives in more than 20 countries around the world.
iStrategyLabs is currently working on the Apps for the Army program for the US Army.
Peter is a highly sought after speaker on the topics of Government 2.0, Civic Innovation, mobile and web application development for federal, state and local use, application development contests, innovation contests, digital divide issues and crowdsourcing.
Economic Development
iStrategyLabs believes deeply in the potential of citizen driven innovation. We’ve been working to strengthen Washington DC’s creative, technology, and entrepreneurial communities since our inception. In the process, we’ve started a global movement in Apps for Democracy, and have launched Digital Capital Week to catalyze change in DC. Whether we create a festival, contest, or incubator, we’re focused on helping cities build strong business communities through applied civic innovation.
Community Building
Everything iStrategyLabs does is made possible through a strong community of collaborators we’ve nurtured across the globe. Over the past 2 years, we’ve facilitated 20+ community focused meetups, un-conferences, and other learning experiences with over 20,000 participants. We know how to bring people together better than anyone.
We can build and manage any kind of community, but we specialize in the following tribes: Technologists, Creatives, Entrepreneurs, Govies, and Communicators.
